Check Out How a Shoulder Injury Drawn Alex to the Yoga Mat
My yoga journey started around 5 years ago in the hot rooms of @myyogaliverpool.
A shoulder injury and the desire to improve my flexibility is what first drawn me to the mat but it was the positive effects on my mental health which kept me coming back.
Having always thought yoga was just stretching I soon discovered, thanks to the wonderful instructors, it is much, much more. The varied styles had me attending 3 or 4 times a week.
Then I set off to backpack around SE Asia, mat and all. This is where my personal practice really began to take shape. I could often be found practicing on hostel roofs, in dormitories, or down on the beach.
Over the years many people had asked me to teach but without having undergone any formal training
I didn’t feel ‘qualified’ so earlier this year I completed 200hours YTT in Panamá under the tutelage of @yiayoga.
Now, with a strong desire to see people moving their bodies and expanding their minds.
I’m developing both my personal practice and my teaching style, in the hope to inspire more people to come to the mat and enjoy the benefits of this ancient art.
