"Yoga Has Taught me Balance"
Yoga has taught me many great things and one of them is – balance. Not only do we need to balance physically when practicing asanas, but mentally is as important.
Go on an extreme hike on Saturday and practice yoga on Sunday. Eat chocolate when your heart wants and kale salad when your body needs it. Drink wine one day and lemon water the next. Wear heels one day and barefoot the next. Cry when you feel sad and laugh until you can’t breathe with friends.
Find your balance in life.
How do I find balance in a yoga pose?
My balance feeling: In order for the balance in a pose, the mind needs to quiet down. To calm the mind, find a place to look in front of you that isn’t moving. Gaze at that place and breathe slowly, and let all thoughts go.
Once your mind is clear, begin to build on the pose from the foundation up. Move slowly and mindfully.
