"I've Started Yoga to Stretch After Running"

My adventure with Yoga had two beginnings. 

I’ve started yoga to improve my posture, stretch after long day or before long run. 

Because I run quite a lot it’s important for me to stretch hamstrings and lower back every chance I have. Lunges and forward bends have been my favourite as even they are so incredibly simple, they can do magic if done right!

Later on, I’ve discovered the benefits of meditation and breathing exercises.. It changed my world forever. 

I was able to escape inside of me from fear, anxiety and overthinking. Rediscovering myself was a completely new journey for me and it helped me look at myself and others in a different way.

The most memorable moment for me was hearing my first yoga teacher’s voice, with closed eyes and open mind sinking in her soft, relaxing tone. I have never experienced such a connection with myself. 

Those early experiences are so important, that’s why I would recommend carefully choosing someone to guide us through the beginning of our journey.
